Pre-care information:

  • Do not use active topicals that may increase your skin’s sensitivity e.g. retinoids, exfoliants or acids 5 days prior to treatment.

  • Do not take anti-inflammatory medication such as ibuprofen 3 days prior to your Microneedling session. These will interfere with the natural inflammatory process that is critical for skin rejuvenation.

  • Avoid ANY facial treatment for at least 2 weeks prior to your treatment.

  • Avoid extensive sun exposure/sun beds for at least 2 weeks prior to your treatment.

  • Avoid hair removal for at least 1 week prior to your treatment.

  • Please do not wear any makeup on the day of your treatment.

What to expect after your facial:

  • Straight after your appointment, your skin may feel a little tingly and sensitive but usually nothing more.
As you get to day 3, dryness/tightness/flaking/shedding is to be expected.
But it is also not uncommon to experience none of this.

  • You may develop small whiteheads. Please note that this is not a breakout as such, this is a normal part of the active process and they will usually clear on their own over the next few days.

  • If you have a lighter skin complexion, you may notice mild redness after a medical peel and usually some sensitivity too.

  • If you have a darker skin complexion suffering from Hyperpigmentation, you may notice that your pigmented areas seem darker at first, but they will start to lighten over the next week or 2.

*Should your skin have a mild reaction and go super dry/itchy, take an antihistamine daily for 3 days post facial and apply a gentle hydrating moisturiser up to 3 times a day.*

    Aftercare information:

  • Do not wash your face or apply any skincare products for 12 hours.

  • Do not apply retinoids, exfoliants or acids for 3-5 days post-treatment.

  • Do not apply makeup for 24 hours.

  • Αvoid swimming, saunas, and spa environments for 3-5 days.

  • Avoid exercise and sweating for 24 hours.

  • Sleep on a clean pillowcase. Preferably silk/satin.

  • Do not peel or pick at your skin. If your skin does begin to shed, you must allow the skin to shed naturally. Picking may create uneven pigment and even scarring.

  • Make sure you keep your skin well hydrated and protected with moisturiser and SPF.

  • Drink lots of water

  • Do not have ANY other treatments for at least 2 weeks post-treatment

  • Don't spend extended periods of time in direct sunlight

  • Always wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen to protect your skin (minimum 30).

  • Stick to the aftercare regime recommended by your trained therapist. This will ensure that your skin recovers and rejuvenates as quickly as possible post-peel.
